Artwork:
Camera ready artwork must be submitted on writeable CD’s. Both PC and Mac based design programs may be used, but the page files must be saved as Adobe PDF files prior to submission to Dilley Books.
Typesetting changes and photo editing after the page proofs have been furnished by Dilley Books are the responsibility of the school. Page revisions must be re-submitted on disk as PDF files. Copy submitted will not be proofread by Dilley Books for errors. Pages which must be re-proofed will be billed at the rate of $65 each.
Photographs:
Photographs must be provided on disk with a scan resolution of 300 DPI.
Proofs:
One set of color proofs will be provided on 80# enamel stock. The entire set of page proofs will be provided once the disks containing all of the page layouts and the cover design have been received by Dilley Books. The page proofs will be printed as they will appear in the finished yearbook.
Production timing:
Yearbooks are shipped within 4 weeks of final receipt of all proofs. Embossed yearbook covers require additional production time.
Paper stock:
Unless otherwise specified, 80# enamel is standard. Other paper stocks are available upon request and special quotation.
Packaging and shipping:
The books will be packaged in convenient sized boxes on standard shipping pallets. Unless otherwise specified, Dilley Books will ship your order via a freight line we choose to best service the shipping to your destination. All freight shipments are FOB Dilley Books and the freight will be invoiced as a separate line item.
Heavy ink coverage:
Solid Ink coverage greater than 50% is considered heavy and will not provide satisfactory reproduction.
Foil stamping on book covers:
Gold or silver foil is available. Avoid fine lines or type smaller than 10 point.
Embossing on book covers:
Raised single level and multilevel embossing with foil inlay copy is available on a custom quotation basis. Embossing requires a custom quotation with submission of your proposed artwork.
Credit terms:
Deposit payments are required on the following dates:
20% on November 1st
20% on February 1st
20% on April 1st
Balance plus shipping and alteration charges to be invoiced upon shipment of the yearbooks.
Extra charges:
In some cases, additional pages or extra features will be added after the book order has been submitted. You will be informed of these extra charges by
e-mail or by a written order acknowledgement.
In the event of cancellation, all work performed and materials purchased prior to cancellation will be invoiced. Overruns/Underruns: All book orders are subject to a standard 5% overrun or underrun. The final invoice will reflect the actual quantity shipped.
Damaged books:
Claims against carriers for cartons damaged require a shared responsibility by the school and Dilley Books. The school will be required to provide an inspection report to the freight carrier. Contact Dilley Books for assistance in filing a claim. Call a customer service representative for authorization before returning any shipments.
Inspection of product:
School agrees to inspect books upon receipt for concealed damage or deficiencies and subsequently notify Dilley Books in the event of discovery. Dilley Books may require the return of any or all of product claimed as defective for repair or replacement. Dilley Books is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Promotional rights:
Dilley Books reserves the right to show samples of work produced for its own promotional purposes. |
